Discover the Art of Sashiko Embroidery
"Sashiko," meaning "little stabs," is a traditional Japanese embroidery style dating back to the Edo period. Known for its practicality and beauty, this technique is perfect for various embroidery projects, mending, and quilting.
Our Sashiko panels come pre-stencilled, eliminating the need to mark the fabric before you begin stitching. Once your masterpiece is complete, simply wash off the markings in tepid water. Each panel includes a stitching guide and helpful tips to ensure your success. Crafted from 100% cotton indigo fabric, these panels are both durable and beautiful. Please note: DO NOT prewash before stitching.
Use Sashiko thread to bring your design to life. You can opt for a single colour or mix in different hues for added decorative flair. Follow the included instructions to create a traditional Japanese kitchen towel, or let your creativity run wild by incorporating the panel into a sewing or quilting project.
